This year's recipient is Megan (Wright) Brown, age 38, who is currently being treated for 15 different health conditions, but the rarest of them being;

1. Hyperadrenergic Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), a form of Dysautonomia
2. Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (hEDS)
3. Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS)
4. Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS)
5. Atlanto-Axial Instability (AAI)

Megan was an extremely active 17-year-old senior at Vaca High, (Class of 2003), when she started having vague symptoms of dizziness, fatigue, and heart palpitations. Over the next 20 years her health rapidly declined. She went in and out of emergency rooms, had endless testing, saw specialists, took multiple medications and finally was bedridden. The doctors were stumped and had no answers, they just told her to "hang in there." In March of 2022, Megan was flown to New York to see a world-renowned Neurosurgeon, who FINALLY had some answers. Megan has a long journey ahead of her and needs our support as she battles to regain her life back.
