This year’s recipient is Shelby Dean-Brandt, 39, who is currently undergoing treatment for Breast Cancer, which was diagnosed in October, 2017. Shelby is not only dealing with the heartbreak of a cancer diagnosis, but she also has Lupus which has put a tremendous strain on her lungs. Along with going through a mastectomy and now chemotherapy, Shelby is also on oxygen and will have to undergo a lung transplant within the next eight to ten years. After having a mastectomy in October of last year Shelby thought she was through with cancer, but in February her doctors found three new lumps and the cancer had returned, which is why she is currently undergoing chemotherapy. Shelby is a mother to Christopher and Tyler Brandt, and the wife of Chris Brandt. Many of you may also know Shelby through her work as a transaction coordinator for realtors in Solano County. Shelby is a fighter and we need you to help in Shelby’s battle with cancer and lupus.
